The University of Texas at Austin Department of Petroleum and Geosystems Engineering and the Department of Slavic and Eurasian Studies Department with the Austin Polish Society are presenting

POLAND & RUSSIA: The Geopolitics of Energy. The event is a benefit dinner for UT Polish Studies and will feature prominent experts on the subject, including Professor Norman Davies, preeminent historian, teacher and writer, Ambassador Joanna Kozinska-Frybes, Consulate General of the Republic of Poland in Los Angeles, representative from the Polish Embassy, Economic Section, Washington DC, and Dr. Tadeusz Patzek, Chairman and Professor, Department of Petroleum and Geosystems Engineering, the University of Texas at Austin.

2012 SPE Annual Technical Conference & Exhibition (ATCE) Alumni Reception

Last year UT PGE hosted its first alumni reception at SPE ATCE and the event was a big hit with more than 100 guests. Due to the success, UT PGE is organizing the second annual reception at this year’s conference in San Antonio, Texas on Monday, October 8, 2012. We encourage you to mark your calendars for this exciting event and an invite will come shortly.

2012 UT PGE Distinguished Alumni Program and Reunion

November 9-10, 2012

For more than 80 years, UT PGE alumni in the petroleum industry have been some of the most important and influential entrepreneurs and technology innovators in the world.  To honor these leaders, PGE is hosting the third annual UT PGE Distinguished Alumni Reception and Dinner Friday, November 9, 2012 at The Driskill Hotel in Austin, Texas.  The Reception will begin at 6:00 p.m., and the Dinner at 7:00 p.m.

The UT PGE Alumni Reunion will take place on Saturday, November 10, 2012 at the UT PGE Department on the UT Austin campus.  The time for the Reunion will be announced at the beginning of November, due to football scheduling.
